ENTJ
The everyday you
As an ENTJ, you see what is inefficient and fix it, usually before anyone has asked. Underneath, you hold a long-range picture of where this is all going. You notice what is in front of you and act on it. And your weakest habit, the one where you are most easily wounded, is staying true to your own private feelings and values.

making it work Te · sensing where it's going Ni · noticing what's here Se · staying true Fi
At your best you are vision and command in one person: frank, decisive, well informed, organizing people and resources toward a future only you can see yet. The cost is the inner life, yours and other people’s, which you treat as noise until it stops the project. Impatience and steamrolling are the same habit seen from the other side.

staying true Fi · noticing what's here Se · sensing where it's going Ni · making it work Te
You admire the person who is quietly, completely herself: kind, sensitive, absorbed in the moment and in what she is making, pushing her views on no one. That private certainty about what matters is your weakest habit turned into her strength, so it moves you and it measures you. Growing toward it starts with an evening that has no goal.

Under stress the commander goes soft in a way you hate: sudden tears you hide, ordinary comments heard as attacks, a feeling of being used and unappreciated and alone. It passes in hours. That is your Unconscious, your four habits turned the other way. It is also why a person who picks every plan apart and commits to nothing can drive you to distraction.

tending the room Fe · comparing with what's been Si · seeing what could be Ne · making it make sense Ti
When you are watched you play the host: warm, cooperative, tending everyone’s comfort, remembering the small things, and wanting to be appreciated for it. You can carry it through a dinner. Carried longer it exhausts you, because it is built from the habits you own least, and it hides the direction you are actually steering.

WestYour family
An ENTJ’s four selves are ENTJ, ISFP, INTP, and ESFJ. Those four types share one set of selves, which makes them a family, and every one of the sixteen types belongs to one of four families. That is why your other three are the same as every other ENTJ’s, and why they can be compared with anyone’s. ENTJ is in the West family.
The types most often mistaken for yours
| Your type, or its neighbor | The question that separates them |
|---|---|
| ENTJ or ENTP | One letter apart, no shared functions: does she lead with structure and decision (Te-Ni) or with possibility and argument (Ne-Ti)? |
| ENTJ or ESTJ | Both Te-lead; auxiliary Ni vs Si. Order or creativity: tested method and precedent, or emerging patterns and rewriting the rulebook? |
